Caroline Mangane, a young model from Ivory Park, has been crowned as this year’s Miss Qhawekazi SA Gauteng Queen.

Qhawekazi, which translates to heroine, defines the 24-year-old’s mission as the queen – to empower communities by creating inspiring female figures.

Mangane was thrilled to be crowned because she never anticipated winning the title.

“It still feels like a dream come true,” she said.

A month ago, she began her online pageantry journey to win the title and worked tirelessly to accomplish her goal.

She never underestimated the power of dreams as they can come true, and her journey was remarkable as she did not wait for others to make her dreams come true.

The future excites Mangane as the title brings with it new opportunities.

She views her sash as a means to serve her community and to become the best version of herself.

Despite the challenges that she may face, she is relishing the experience.

Mangane believes that it is God’s calling for her to reach out to learners and the elderly, and assist people in the community.

“One day, someone will share their story of how they overcame their struggles, and this will inspire others to keep going because the kindness one puts into the world has a way of returning.”

She expressed gratitude to her parents for her success as they taught her the importance of humility, kindness, and giving.
