Charitable organasations join hands to give back to the community

1 500 meals donated during a charity drive.

The community of Midrand witnessed a remarkable event that aimed to alleviate hunger and promote healthy eating habits as Connect to Feed and Food for Life, two charitable organisations, join hands to host a Fruit Drive Campaign.

The organisations distributed nutritious foods and fresh fruits to those in need. According to Upama Srivastava, founder of Connect to Feed Foundation, this impactful initiative takes place every first Sunday of the month, consistently bringing hope and nourishment to deserving recipients in the region.

” The support we receive from the community motivates us forward in our mission to spread joy. We urge the community to stand by us, as we can only spread happiness and help more on the availability of additional helping hands and financial assistance.”

Food for Life provided 1500 healthy meals during the drive they hosted for the community.

The Fruit Drive Campaign took place on August 6, and they donated to the Bantu Bambanani organisation in Midrand.

Connect to Feed and the Food for Life team said they hope to get enough funds to be able to afford to do this campaign every Sunday.

Moreover, the campaign’s regular schedule every first week of the month has allowed the beneficiaries to anticipate and rely on this essential support. The consistency of the Fruit Drive Campaign has created a sense of community and trust, motivating volunteers and recipients alike to come together and build a stronger, healthier community.
