Samsung Mall of Africa gives back to the community

Local home receives food parcels from Mall of Africa Samsung.

The Samsung store team based at the Mall of Africa showed love and support by giving back to the community when they donated food parcels on July 4.

The Samsung store manager and his team purchased food parcels from their own pockets to support the Yenzani Children’s home in Noordwyk.

The donation of the food parcels comes after the home recently fell on hard times as they lost all their funding from the Department of Social Development.

According to Samsung branch manager, Najith Ramdass the team showed interest in giving back to the community as they feel for those facing financial hardship, food shortages, or hardships and want to support those in need.

“We got together as a team here at Samsung Mall of Africa and decided to do something good. This will not be the last as the team felt good about it and shall continue every second month in doing good deeds for those that are in need,” said Ramdass.

Vanessa Hale and her dedicated team of four have been caregivers for children ages 4-18 since 2002. The home always accommodates seven boys and seven girls in their home.

Yenzani Children’s Home thanked the generous sponsors for making this initiative a fruitful one. It is only through donations and sponsorships that the NPO can keep its doors open and provide assistance to those who need it.
