Top learners from Noordwyk Secondary celebrated

Overall top achiever and white blazer recipient, Thabang Makgato led the pack for the Grade 12s. He receives the blazer after being a top learners from Grade 11 in 2022.

To motivate learners to do well in their academic work, Noordwyk Secondary School awarded their term 1 top performers.

The awards were held at the school sports ground which was packed with the learners on May 10 and all the top achievers were bestowed with certificates.
Before the start of the ceremony, the principal Alex Tau said it was important to celebrate academic excellence.
“Congratulations to all the winners for their hard work. This proves that hard work and dedication to academic work pay off. I urge you all to strive towards being our next winners for term 2,” Tau addressed the learners.

Overall top achiever and white blazer recipient Thabang Makgato led the pack for the Grade 12s. Thabang received the blazer for also being the best learner in Grade 11.
Gugu Mnunu, Tebogo Masemola, Emmanuel Magona and Tiisetso Mbewe all received certificates.

In Grade 8, Nakedi Monyemoratho was the top learner followed by Viwe Gadiso, Owetho Mthethwa, Yamkela Nkosi and Tumiso Tshwane.

Thobeka Manakuza was the leading achiever in Grade 9 ahead of Mbali Maota, Hope Shandukani, Mogau Mokgotho and Jenelle Haripersad. In Grade 10, certificates were awarded to Mugomeza Anashe, Katlego Pale, Olwethu Mbatha, Kamogelo Mkhize and Emihle Mhlongo. Vuyani Ndzukulu led the pack in Grade 11 followed by Precious Modau, Oratile Mofokeng, Dan Moroka and Noluthando Mkhize.

Grade 12 coordinator Tshenolo Rosinah Zwane said, “We are hoping that for those of you who did not receive awards here, we will be seeing you here in June for the term 2 top performing learners.”
