Desmond Khumbuza, a security officer at Randjiespark, believes his writing has helped him heal broken souls.

Khumbuza has three books under his belt that were published under his publishing brand, Tsakani Publisher.
His first book titled God Loves Orphans was released in 2020, followed by There’s a Light at the End of the Tunnel in 2021 and the now The Power of Positive Mindset, which has been trending on various social media platforms.

Author Desmond Khumbuza fell in love with writing in primary school and now he’s living his passion.

Khumbuza (40) was born in Giyani, in a rural village called Khakhala.
He said he started writing when he was young – while in primary school until varsity.

“As I was growing up, I took reading and writing as hobbies. Then I discovered that the more I read, the more knowledge I gain. I am hoping to inspire millions of people all over the world through my writing journey. A lot of people tend to lose hope and give up on their battle against poverty. Teaching and writing are here to revive them and give them hope to keep moving forward,” said Khumbuza.

He said the response from people was, and still is, overwhelming and it was a humbling experience.
Khumbuza graduated from Unisa in 2010 with a degree in marketing management and went to the Academy of York institution and studied team leadership management and graduated in 2019.

Desmond Khambuza writes motivational books and is humbled by fans’ reactions to his latest book, The Power of Positive Mindset.

He believes that education is the key to conquering poverty.
When asked how he balances work and writing, he said, “In the morning I go to work. In the evening I am writing. Young authors should know that everything is possible. The fact that I am doing it means that they can also do it. They just need to put more effort, focus and discipline into it then they will come alright.”

He urged young and old to read more in order to add value to this world.
Khambuza concluded that the more one reads is the more they gain knowledge and wisdom.
