Vox Pop: Which timeslot is better for load-shedding?

The best load-shedding slot according to locals.

Wiseman Phiri: Mine has to be during the day as we are all at work, unlike in the morning we have to prepare for work, and school, and in the evening, we do school work in the dark.

The load-shedding experience has been a nightmare for most South Africans if not all. Locals even mention that they have a favourite timeslot for load-shedding.

Midrand Reporter hit the streets and asked locals what is a better time slot for them for load-shedding and why, this is what they had to say:

Nazir Ahmed: I think the that works best for me is between 18:00 to 20:00 because is the end of the business day, and my business is not badly affected.

Alex Kakwata: Mine has to be the one that happens midday because most of us are at the office and when we knock off there is no traffic on the road as all traffic lights are operating.

Lethusang Selialia: With the electricity infrastructure vandalism, the one during the day works better for me because when it happens at night criminals get a chance to vandalise without cameras and lights spotting them.

THABANG PHENYA: “As I am a student, the whole load-shedding is interrupting my studies but the one that happens at midnight is my favorite as it does not disturb my studies and lessons.”
