The Kyalami Hills Lifestyle complex held a Halloween event for the little kids who all came dressed up in DC or Marvel characters and their parents did not disappoint either.
Event organiser Bianca Modiselle said they have been running the event for the past three years, however, it was difficult during Covid-19. She said they host different events during Christmas, Easter and Halloween among others. “The event helps bring the community together and makes them know each other because of these events. Christmas is our biggest event. All the decorations you saw here, we made them from scratch, and they are 100% organic,” said Modiselle.
Children and parents also participated in different competitions before the best-dressed winners were announced. Modiselle said all the events they host play a critical role in ensuring that the community comes together. Although Halloween is popular in the United States, she said they decided to localise the idea and celebrate it in South Africa.
