Academy owner Theodora Crozét said she was proud that all the divisions exceeded themselves in their maiden season.

She said the academy was born in 2017 from a sister club, Northerns FC and this was the first time they separated the two franchises.

“We have grown as a team if you look at the number of players we have now. Six years ago, we had about 60 kids and five or six teams but we have now grown up to 18 teams and 300 players. It’s been a fantastic journey and most of the U17s are the players that came through the ranks of our development while they were still young,” said Crozét .

The league boasts teams like School of Excellence, which is known for producing many players playing in the Premier Soccer League and Augusto Palacios Apprentice Academy.

“I think we have done very well and I am happy with the performance of all the divisions. We will continue participating in other tournaments as the season has ended just to keep players active during the recess.”

She said the season was a roller-coaster journey and saw players compete in an intense development league which will be helpful in the players’ football development.
