The tree planting ceremony forms a comprehensive experience to raise awareness of the effects of climate change.

Learners at Curro Midrand Halfway Gardens participated in a tree planting ceremony at their spring celebration on September 7.

The learners learned that the tree planted was a Natal mahogany which is an evergreen tree with dark, green glossy leaves and a wide-spreading crown that provides plenty of shade.
