Halfway House-based Ikos Palace offers artists a platform to showcase their talent

The open mic takes place every Friday and every artist is welcome to entertain the audience.

Due to the untapped talent of Midrand’s youth, Ikos Palace – The Hub saw the need to provide them with a platform to showcase their talent.

Ikos Palace in Halfway House has started an open mic session where all entertainers can showcase their talent and skills.

Ike Osei, the owner of the Palace, said the open mic platform gave the youth something to look forward to by using or finding value for their talents and empowering them. ”If they [artists] are nurtured well, they become a better artist.”

The open mic takes place every Friday where musicians, dancers, comedians, deejays, and poets among other entertainers converge to showcase their talent.

“Ikos Palace is a place or home to anyone who wants to experience different cultures through music, food, and also meeting different people from different places.”

The August 26 open mic session was a huge success and Osei invited more local artists to show up at the next event.
