Curro Midrand brings hope in style to several care facilities

Learners from Curro Midrand wear the colours of the national flag for a worthy endeavour.

Curro Midrand embraced the spirit of ubuntu and recently made a concerted effort to feed those in need.

The learners were asked to wear the colours of the national flag of South Africa on July 29.
They were divided into the various colours of the flag across the grades and gathered on the field to create a picture-perfect national flag. Thereafter, they harmoniously sang the national anthem before creating a food line.

“To end the spread of poverty, we created a 67m food line comprising tinned food that was donated to Thuthuzela Children’s Home, Hearts of Hope Wendywood, and Alexandra Home for the Aged,” said the school in a statement.

“This was indeed a moment of pride for our school. Thank you to all the parents and learners who heard our calls and generously contributed towards a worthy endeavour.”
