Meet local author, motivational speaker, panel moderator, mentor, career advisor and PhD candidate

Sibonile Dube is a woman of many talents and she uses her God-given gifts to empower and uplift others to be better people in life through her series of books and public speaking sessions.

Sibonile Dube is a local author, motivational speaker and corporate leader who focuses on women empowerment, gender equity, leadership, personal branding and career development.

Dube (43) has more than 20 years of experience working for various multinational giants in integrated marketing communications.

Dube from Vorna Valley published her first book Climbing the Hill on Heels in 2020 during the Covid-19 outbreak.
“The book was well received and I will be releasing a sequel titled, Pink Noise! on September 3,” said Dube.

Local author Sibonile Dube gives back to the community and the world.

She is a mentor at Phakama Women’s Academy, an initiative aimed at preparing university students for the corporate world post their studies. She is also a mentor for the All4Mentorship Sub-Sahara Africa programme.

A multiple award winner in the corporate space, Dube’s work has gained local, regional and international acclaim.

“In 2019, I was a recipient of the Impact Award issued by a Switzerland-based multinational for driving a menstrual hygiene project for girls in South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya and Ivory Coast.”
Dube has also been honoured by other institutions for her expertise in her profession.

She holds a Diploma in journalism, a Bachelor of Science Honours in sociology, a Master of Management in strategic marketing from the University of Witwatersrand Business School, and a qualification in strategy execution from the University of Stellenbosch.

She is currently pursuing a PhD at the University of Witwatersrand and her topic is titled ‘The impact of firm and user-generated social media communication on the brand personality and e-reputation of female professionals using LinkedIn.’

Multi-talented author Sibonile Dube is eager to release her second book.

She said her genuine interest in seeing people succeed, and her compassion and smile have made her a go-to speaker for organisations looking for a reassuring voice.
Also, her deep understanding of a variety of topics makes her a versatile, contemporary and adaptable speaker for many audiences.

She owes her success to her faith, a very supportive husband, their three children, as well as the ‘tribe of women’ in her network.
