6 injured following rear-end collision in Midrand

Emer-G-Med extended their gratitude to the organisations that attended the scene.

Emer-G-Med responded to a multiple-vehicle collision on Summit Road, Midrand on August 1 around 7:31.

According to Charles Bryne, accident unit manager for Emer-G-Med, two bakkies were involved with one rear-ending another.

“On arrival, we were met with multiple patients with injuries ranging from serious to moderate. We quickly assessed all the patients and determined the level of care required. We were also assisted by Gauteng EMS, Axon Security and Sector 4 CPF members which we would like to thank for all their assistance,” said Bryne.

A total of six patients were transported to the nearest hospital for further care by Emer-G-Med. Two patients were seriously injured while four were moderately injured.

All relevant authorities were on scene.
