Christ Church Preparatory School and College hosted a first-team league quarter-finals soccer match against Maryvale College on July 20.
Although Maryvale came prepared, they could not match Christ Church as the end of a very fast-paced and energetic game saw Christ Church thrashing the visitors 6–1.
Goal scorers of the day from the hosts included Seth van Wijk with two goals, Mangaliso Ngema who also netted two goals, Taona Makamure (1), and Sanele Masuku (1).
Seth was named man of the match for an outstanding performance that he produced on top of the two goals he scored.
Christ Church will play in the semi-finals on July 27 against Marion College at Randburg Stadium.
“Thank you to our referees, VIPs, and all the hardworking staff and learners behind the scenes,” said Dawn Schmitz, Christ Church school marketing manager.
The match was live streamed on SuperSport where highlights are still available.
