Local NPO to visit dog shelter

Connect To Feed is asking the community to assist with donating various dog items to be donated in a dog shelter.

Midrand-based non-profit organisation Connect To Feed will visit a dog shelter on July 23 to donate pet food and medicine among other items.

NPO co-founder Swati Bhagat said the aim was to keep these ‘fur friends’ warm this winter and fill their little bellies by providing some food items.

“We will be conducting a winter drive for SA Basset Adoption in July at their Randfontein facility… They do rehoming and adoptions of basset [hounds] in need and help network other welfare institutions who have bassets in their care,” said Bhagat.

She said they have started collecting the funds for this initiative and were hoping to purchase a range of items for 20 dogs.

“Deworming, tinned food, leashes, blanket, dog food, tick and flea, collars, beds, jackets and some medicine are needed items to ensure that we have a successful visit to the dog shelter.”

Connect To Feed requests everyone to please help and support them and join their cause of spreading happiness.
