Wave Rhyder drops third single and promises his fans more music

Thato Molupe aka Wave Rhyder believes there are more waves to ride on during his music journey as his story continues to blossoms very well.

Following a positive response from his fans, songwriter, singer and producer Thato ‘Wave Rhyder’ Molupe said he would spend more time in the studio to give them more music.

Molupe (23), who is based in Waterfall City, added that the possibility of him releasing an EP before the end of this year couldn’t be ruled out.

He released his third single on June 3, Wa Nkutlwa Na (Do you hear me?) which was about how he was once down, but things were looking much better for him in life and his music journey.

“I am happy about the reception the single has received, it’s been a positive response from my fans. I will continue to work hard and ensure that I give them great music and music videos that complement each other,” said Molupe.

Originally from Lesotho from a small town called Morija, the afro-pop singer said he came from a musical family and cherished his stage name which his uncle gave to him.

Earlier this year, the versatile Molupe released Dikeledi (tears) in April. In October last year, he released his first amapiano single, Pula (rain).

“People should not expect just one thing from me, I can do more than one sound. As much as I started off with an amapiano track, I am not known for the amapiano sound, I do hip-hop and Afropop.”

Molupe’s highlight in the music industry was when he shared a stage with South Africa’s award-winning duo Blaq Diamond and Lesotho’s Ntate Stunna.

He concluded that he wished to work with Wiz Kid, Teni and Nigarian superstar Davido because they made music he related to.
