Police arrest two suspects in Vorna Valley

After a follow-up to an intelligence operation, suspects were arrested at Vorna Valley on May 14 at Elias Road.

Two suspects were arrested by Midrand police after they were allegedly found in possession of heroin and dagga with an estimated street value of R300 000.

The suspects were arrested in Elias Road, Vorna Valley on May 14 at about 19:30 after an intelligence operation by the police.
The drugs were discovered in the suspects’ vehicle.

Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier Molefi David Tsotsotso applauded the officers for their hard work to eradicate crimes involving drugs in the area.

“We are aware of the drug issues within our policing precinct and we have tasked more intelligence and crime prevention [officers] to work on these projects,” Tsotsotso said.

“We are hoping for a good conviction [of the arrested suspects] that will serve as a deterrence to those who are committing such crimes.”
