Midrand police collaborate with Tracker to recover a stolen truck and arrest two

GLEN AUSTIN — The suspects were in the process of ‘stripping’ the truck upon the arrival of the police and fled in different directions. The police managed to apprehend two suspects.

Midrand police arrested two suspects in Glen Austin on March 20 and recovered a stolen truck.

The truck was reportedly stolen in Randfontein where a Tracker signal was activated. The Midrand police responded and proceeded to an address in Glen Austin as identified by Tracker.

The suspects were in the process of ‘stripping’ the truck upon the arrival of the police and fled in different directions. The police managed to apprehend two suspects.

Further investigation revealed that the truck found in Glen Austin is positively linked to the truck reported stolen in Randfontein.

Midrand police spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane confirmed their investigators have already begun investigating the incident and are looking for the owner of the property where the truck was found as well as the mastermind behind the stolen truck

“The suspects will be appearing in court on March 22. Other suspects are still at large and police have started with tracing,” concluded Mabulane.
