Midrand Police Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane said a man was arrested for possession of drugs in Alexander Avenue, Midrand on February 10 at about 10:30.
He said the suspect, aged 30, was found smoking nyaope and was arrested by the station’s tracing team.
“The station commander has commended the members for their continuous fight against the use and abuse of illegal substances which affects our youth and society.
“We will at all times be on the street fighting such crime as it affects the innocent as it leads to crime as well,” said Mabulane.
