Learners show off talents

WATERFALL – Aphile Sibiya went home with the first prize after giving a stellar singing performance.

Curro Waterfall learners showcased their talents on January 28 in the school’s talent show, Waterfalls Got Talent.

According to the school’s marketer Sinothando Mbanjwa, the learners were allowed to compete in the show by entering into the challenges of ‘move it’, ‘act it’, ‘read it’ or ‘do your own’.

“These learners were expected to audition, and thereafter the top three of each category were chosen to perform during the gala evening.

“Our learners spent hours preparing, and on January 28 the competition began. Although all the acts were amazing, there could only be one winner,” said Mbanjwa.

Mbanjwa said the winner was Aphile Sibiya who is in Grade 11. “Not only did she perform a written piece, but she also sang. Sibiya walked away with the number one position by performing her favourite song.

“It is evident that the learners at Curro Waterfall excel… and it is a privilege for our teachers and the students to be part of such an amazing school.”
