Rabie Ridge-based beauty fashion model, Sanele Khuzwayo (22) has been honing her catwalk skills for some time now, and this year it may pay off.
Khuzwayo entered the Miss Township South Africa 2022
Miss Township South Africa is a beauty pageant and empowerment programme that was established in December 2019 by former Miss South Africa finalist, Koketso Makua.
“The programme is being developed to fill a void for a formal beauty pageant that seeks to reshape the narrative of women who are from townships, who are not only bound by their surroundings but also by themselves,” Khuzwayo explained.
She does not only excel in modeling clothing and accessories but she is also a student at the University of South Africa and is studying for a diploma in public relations.
“This journey of modeling is an exciting journey which comes with a lot of work. The Miss Township South Africa will help me grow more in the modeling industry and I am looking forward to learning through the activities.”
Voting lines for the pageant open on January 20 and their will be a sanitary pad drive. ”I would really appreciate people to help me with the donations of pads so that I can be able to help those who are in need on the day.”
