MIDRAND – Teachers from the Jubilate Primary School welcomed new learners with warmth.

Jubilate Primary School welcomed their new learners for 2022.

For some, this is the first day of their ‘big school’ journey. Families bid farewell as little ones started Grade 1 on January 12 with big hugs.

Teachers at Jubilate Primary School ushered their new learners into the classroom with warmth.

Licebo Somfongo who just started the first day of his long journey in education said that he was very excited and had no nerves.
When asked what he was excited to learn about, this is what he had to say, “ I am cool, I am excited, I can’t wait to start learning about sports, baseball in particular.”

One of the parents who accompanied her child into class, Neo Menwe, shared her experience. Menwe said that they felt great having been able to accompany their son to his first day at school.
She added that as a parent she felt great that he was finally going to Grade 1, “I feel like he is a bit nervous, but any person will go through a change especially the first time being in class, but it is normal.”

Principal at Jubilate Primary School, Nadine Mack, welcomed all her learners at school, especially the Grade 1s, “We hope they have a good year. It is a big milestone for them to go to Grade 1, and we are looking forward to sharing it with them and their parents.”
