JRA can’t confirm when stormwater drain will be fixed
CARLSWALD - No lasting solution offered for long standing stormwater matter
Carlswald and Vorna Valley residents’ complaints were heard when Johannesburg Roads Agency (JRA) cleared a stormwater drain that needs replacing on Seventh Road between Milford and Springfield roads.
The agency’s Mosa Makhalima said on November 3 a team cleared all the debris in the stormwater drain.
“JRA has a number of bridges that have to be fixed around the city of Johannesburg. Because they require a capex budget, it is not easy to confirm when this one [stormwater drain] will be fixed, since the budget has already been allocated for this financial year.”
