Nature of death remains unknown

MIDRAND – Constable Eliot Mabulane, spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station said that an inquest docket was opened to investigate the nature of the man's death.


Midrand police responded to a call by a pedestrian after they discovered a man’s body on the corner of Johnnic Boulevard and Pretoria Main Road at about 08:40 on October 7.

According to the Midrand Police Station spokesperson, Constable Eliot Mabulane the body was found lying in a supine position under a bridge.

“How the body arrived at the place it was found in, is still unknown, and neither the manner nor nature of the death is known,” he explained.

“The body seemed to have been there a couple of weeks, dressed in black and yellow Adidas shoes, black T-shirt and black jeans,” Mabulane added.

He concluded that an inquest docket had been opened to investigate the nature of death and to locate the man’s family members for identification.
