A fun outing for New Life Centre for girls
MIDRAND – New Life Centre for Girls thanked the school for always supporting them with much-needed donations.
A local school’s outreach team recently hosted girls from New Life Centre for Girls at the matinee production of Beauty and the Beast.
Christ Church Preparatory School and College’s marketing representative Dawn Schimdtz said, “There was great excitement as the young ladies arrived to watch the production. Each young lady was given a gift bag packed with hygiene products on their arrival.”
New Life Centre for Girls is a non-profit organisation that accommodates girls who have been abused or exposed to prostitution and drugs. Centre founder Khopotso Nakin said the girls enjoyed watching the production. “Seventeen girls watched Beauty and the Beast, it was a wonderful production. The outreach team gave our girls toiletries and chocolates and groceries. We are so grateful to Christ Church for the support we got, they are always giving much-needed donations to us.”
Nakin added that watching the production of Beauty and the Beast was a treat for the girls as they do not get to experience such moments a lot.
