Ward winners thank residents and celebrate wins

MIDRAND – Results confirm the winners in Midrand wards


The IEC officially announced local government election results on 4 November, confirming the winners in Ward 110, Anginah Mphaho and Ward 132 long-standing councillor Annette Deppe.

Results:
Ward 110 (ANC)
Total valid votes: 3 957
Valid votes for candidate: 1 897
Percentage of total valid votes: 47.94%
Winning margin: 1 185

Ward 132 (DA)
Total valid votes: 10 219
Valid votes for candidate: 6 135
Percentage of total valid votes: 60.04%
Winning margin: 4 286

ANNETTE DEPPE, (DA) Ward 132: A big thank you to everyone who came out and cast their vote on the 1st of November 2021. I’m pleased to announce that I will be the ward councillor for the next five years and I will serve you to the best of my ability. I would also like to thank you for putting your trust and faith in me to be the councillor for Ward 132. I look forward to engaging and working with you to resolve the myriad issues plaguing us.
