MIDRAND – Here's what residents at the voting station at the Country View Engen garage in Ward 92 had to say about why it is important for them to make their mark.

Residents have gone to the polls today, November 1, to vote for the party and candidate councillor they believe will help sort out their service delivery problems in Midrand.

The Midrand Reporter‘s journalist, Ofentse Ditlopo visited the voting station at the Country View Engen garage in Ward 92 to ask residents why it is important for them to put their mark on the ballots.

This is what they had to say…

Gerard Dominic: I have voted every time I have been able to since 1981. I see an importance in voting because how can you complain about government if you do not vote. Democracy is about everybody voting.

Mathew Dalton: I am here because my family asked me to do it. I have reached the point where I am just tired of this country and its problems because it feels like we are going to repeat a cycle of corruption and all these other problems.
