The following candidates running in Ward 132 are looking to win your vote on November 1.

Ward 110 includes President Park and Glen Austin.

Here is what they say they have in store for the ward if they are elected…

ISMAIEL FEROZE MAHOMED, ASA: I work very closely with residents associations and belong to a few including the Potgieter Residents Association in Glen Austin. I am a drug addict recovery coach focused on the Midrand CBD. I am going to hold myself accountable and responsible to handle my ward’s problems, I’ll open up communications between all service providers and voice the opinions and issues of residents I’ll also update residents with feedback on issues at hand.
ASHLEY LESSEBER, PA: I would improve schools and make sure to help tackle crime. Having lived in Ward 110 for over three decades, it saddens me that the community remains undeveloped. I have tried to push for change in our community and want to get into politics to accelerate change. I think municipality bills must be [written-off] and give all residents a chance to start on a clean slate. I would make sure potholes are attended to.

MARGARET MOTLHWA, EFF: We have a very serious problem when it comes to service delivery. I would make sure there is a public clinic for Glen Austin and President Park, the closest is in Ward 112. Power cuts in the ward are affecting schoolchildren who have to study without lights, I would make sure this basic need is met. I would want tenders to be abolished and the City should hire well-trained full-time people to work on projects.
VALERIE MORGAN,DA: Ward 110 needs proper houses, upgraded sewarage systems, police visibility and upgraded stormwater drains. I would ensure clear communication lines between residents and the councillor.
I would establish street committees in each block of the ward that will assist with constant community meetings and to address the issues in a certain block.
