Reddam House Waterfall held their first swimming gala since the Covid-19 lockdown was implemented last year.
According to the head of school, Quinton Pascoe, children were excited to be part of the event on October 9.
Pascoe said the day was glorious after two days of isolated thundershowers. He added that the event was, however, a perfect backdrop for an outdoor event.
“Eager swimmers took their marks amid a buzz of competitive energy. Although the children were divided into their respective houses, their shouts for encouragement were for each swimmer, not just those on their own teams.
“The thrill of competing in a sporting event once more was tangible and the spirit of the gala was visible on the children’s faces and in their cheers for the swimmers.”
