New appointment to help reduce crime

MIDRAND – Midrand Police Station spokesperson, Constable Eliot Mabulane said that with the new appointments made, the Midrand Station Commander hopes to see an improvement in the fight against crime.


Midrand Police Station welcomed new staff members who are the rank of Lieutenant Colonel on October 4.

According to Midrand Police Station spokesperson, Constable Eliot Mabulane, the Station Commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso hoped the appointments made would make a positive impact on crime.

The following officers have been appointed:

• Lieutenant Colonel Litsabako Ntsasa will take over the office of the finance commander.

• Lieutenant Colonel Francois Gerber will head the supply chain department to ensure there is enough resources to fight crime.

• Lieutenant Colonel Joyce Mashobane has been appointed to oversee that there is service delivery in terms of investigation, working together with Colonel Andre de Klerk, the detective commander.

Tsotsotso added that his management had faith in their newly appointed officers. “We will always work towards committing ourselves to the safety and service delivery of our community.

“Midrand SAPS is here to serve in the best interest of our people and we will strive towards that,” he concluded.
