Centre urges individuals to attend general meeting

PRESIDENT PARK – Khopotso Nakin said the annual general meeting was a vital part of their organisation's growth going forward.

New Life Centre home for girls has called on local businesses and individuals to join them at their upcoming annual general meeting on September 11.

Khopotso Nakin, founder of the centre said, “This meeting will be a vital part of our growth going forward because this is where people get a chance to meet and know the leaders of the organisation as well as get an opportunity to choose board members who will deliver and improve on the status of the organisation.

“We are looking for retired social workers who understand the Children’s Amendment Act to guide and advise the organisation, a lawyer to advise on legal issues, business people, psychologists as well as community members who will be a part of the board and serve our organisation to help us meet our vision.”

Nakin added that they needed people who would show commitment and dedicate their time and skills to manage the work that comes with being a board member. She said they also need people with great fundraising skills to help the organisation grow.

The venue will be confirmed and communicated to all who were interested in attending.
