Man apprehended for drugs

MIDRAND – Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso has applauded his members for keeping criminals off the streets.


Midrand police arrested a man for being in possession of drugs on September 2.

According to Midrand Police Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane, the station’s tracing team arrested the suspect while conducting their day-to-day operations led by Captain Thapelo Molepo.

Mabulane added that the suspect was arrested on the corner of Church and

Market streets. “The suspect has been detained for further investigation and the drugs will be sent to a lab for further examination,” he said.

Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso applauded the police members for their commitment to fighting drug-related crimes to create a safer environment for the society.

“Midrand police will continuously strive towards upholding its mandate and the Constitution in addressing such crimes and hope this conviction will send a clear message to those who are involved in the smuggling of drugs and dealing in drugs,” he concluded.
