Chilly lesson for Grade 000 learners

NOORDWYK – Learners learn about the wonders of nature during winter.

On July 27, learners in Grade 000 at Christ Church Preparatory School and College were introduced to what winter has to offer.

When they arrived at school, the gardens were covered in ice crystals. Dawn Schmitz, part of marketing at the school, said the youngsters learnt about what winter brings, including frost. “While revelling in the wonders that our Lord gives to us everywhere you look, the beauty and delicate nature of ice crystals were discussed and each child was given a frost-covered leaf to study,” she said.

“It is always good to remember to stop and look at the small miracles that take place every day. Often, we are so busy with the here and now, we forget to stop and breathe in our Lord’s love.”
