Know your Midrand police sector contacts

MIDRAND – The Midrand Police Station shared sector contacts which community members could call in times of urgency to ask for help.


To make sure all crimes are responded to in the quickest possible time, the office of the Midrand Police Station’s Commander Brigadier Molefi David Tsotsotso shared contact numbers that residents could call in times of an emergency.

Station spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane said in terms of Section 205 of the Constitution, the objectives of the police were to prevent, combat and investigate the crime to maintain public order and to protect and secure the inhabitants of the republic and their property and to uphold and enforce the law.

“In order to win against crime within the Midrand area, we urge and appeal to the residents at large to work hand in hand with the law enforcement officials, community leaders and the community policing forum so we can create a safer environment for everyone.”

He encouraged community members to report every crime. “Community members can report crime anonymously by dialling 086 001 0111 or the 112 emergency toll-free number and select option one which will direct them to the services they need, or you could call the Midrand Police Station’s direct community service centre on 011 3471600/02/03.”Details: Midrand Police Station 011 347 1600.

Midrand Police Station has been divided into five sectors which all have direct contact numbers and a sector manager.
