Generous donations of blankets for children in need

PRESIDENT PARK – New Jerusalem Children’s Home and New Life Centre for Girls in President Park benefitted from the donations.

Midrand police salutes the work of the Uplift the Child organisation which donated blankets to homes servicing children in need across Midrand.

Spokesperson for Midrand Police Station, Constable Tshwarelo Eliot Mabulane applauded the work of the organisation, under the directorship of Nagaraju Guralla, for their dedication to upholding human rights.

New Jerusalem Children’s Home and New Life Centre for Girls in President Park benefitted from the donations.

Mabulane said Guralla believed that there were many children out there without shelter and blankets to ward off the cold this winter. He wished that this gesture would be extended by all leaders in society so that no one would need to be a victim of cold this winter.

“Midrand Social Crime Prevention is dedicated to fighting social issues that could lead to crime. By joining hands with stakeholders to address such concerns, police hope to redirect the vulnerable from thoughts of criminality,” added Mabulane.

“The hand that gives saves many lives.”

Midrand police helped to identify centres and distribute the generous donations from Uplift the Child.
