After helping the mother through the delivery process, the team at Med-E-Care 24 invited the mother, with her child, to collect toiletries, nappies, baby products, blankets, baby clothes and a little spoil for the new mother. Director for the Med-E-Care 24, Dr Bhongolethu Masebe, explained the idea behind the donation.
“It was our first baby born in 2021 and because of Covid-19 it was an extremely difficult year for people. So we thought, being such a tough year, let’s start by doing something good for someone,” he said.
“A baby is such a blessing but also takes a big financial part from us. We thought if we can help a little bit in the beginning, it will take a lot of stress away from the parents and leave them to focus on enjoying time with their beautiful baby girl.”

The mother, Nomhle Ubisi, was excited to be showered with so many gifts and essentials. “Med-E-Care 24 should continue doing this to the other parents as well,” Ubisi concluded.
