Blue Hills College wrote the Independent Examination Board examinations for the first time in 2020 and are proud of the 99 per cent pass rate.
Bekithemba Ndlovu, the principal of the school said, “We are happy with the good start. The year was not good, we had to close at some point due to Covid-19 but we are happy that our learners did well, despite the challenges.
“We also had to do online lessons when we were in lockdown, and our educators did well in adapting to the new teaching methods, which were technical.
“Parents cooperated also as they had to ensure that learners have connections at home.”
The school had 91 Grade 12s last year and 76 per cent of them achieved a Bachelor’s Degree pass.
The top learner was Victoria Mahovhe who achieved four distinctions, and Keith Ndou attained three.
