ICYMI: Midrand police recover vehicle stolen in Brakpan

WATERFALL – Midrand police arrested a suspect in possession of a stolen vehicle and illegal live ammunition.


Midrand police arrested a 20-year-old man for the possession of a stolen motor vehicle and illegal live ammunition.

Spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station Constable Elliot Mabulane said the police received a call from Fidelity ADT who had stopped a suspicious vehicle driving near a shopping centre in Waterfall.

The patrolling officers went to the scene where they found the security officers with the suspect and a Toyota Corolla. The police checked the vehicle and found out that it was linked to a stolen motor vehicle case in the Brakpan area. The police searched the vehicle and discovered ammunition.

The suspect was immediately arrested and charged with possession of a stolen motor vehicle and possession of illegal live ammunition and was detained at Midrand Police Station.

Mabulane concluded, “Midrand police would like to thank Fidelity ADT security for always working with the police to identify and fight crime.”
