1. Walkhaven Dog Park, Muldersdrift

Walkhaven Dog Park is situated in the Muldersdrift area right next to the Cradle of Humankind. There are two large dams surrounded by a lush wetland that is home to a large variety of birdlife. There are braai and picnic facilities around the park, making it the perfect spot to spend with your pets and children.

2. The Wilds, Houghton

Explore this green oasis in the middle of the city. Sculptures are dotted along the park and its hills offer a serene view of the city. This park is perfect to take your furry pooch (on a leash) and enjoy a picnic.

3. Johannesburg Botanical Gardens, Emmarentia

Emmarentia Dam, with its large fields, mass of trees and large dam is the perfect spot for Joburg North residents. There is also play equipment to give youngsters hours of entertainment. Dogs on a leash are welcome.

7. Croc City Crocodile and Reptile Park

9. South African Lipizzaners, Kyalami

The South African Lipizzaner Centre is a renowned equestrian establishment located just outside of Johannesburg. Enjoy a beautiful show of synchronised Lipizzaner horses which is sure to impress the whole family.
