KYALAMI – After a tough year, the South African Lipizzaners, based in Kyalami, look forward to bringing some festive cheer.

After a tough year, the South African Lipizzaners, based in Kyalami, look forward to bringing some festive cheer.

Gina Boxley, a volunteer with the Lipizzaners said, “Thirty-six stallions reside at the centre and their happiness and health are carefully attended to by a loving team of riders, grooms, trainers, management and the support of their adoring South African fans.”

The SA Lipizzaner Centre is a non-profit organisation with the goal of preserving the history of this rare breed while ensuring the continuation of the tradition of high school riding. To this end, the centre relies entirely on public donations and sponsorships.

“With only approximately 11,000 pure Lipizzaners left in the world, it is indeed an extraordinary opportunity to see these magnificent stallions perform at the highest level in the southernmost country on the African continent.”
