Man caught during Operation O Kae Molao in Kaalfontein

KAALFONTEIN – Man arrested after being found in possession of drugs worth R4 000.

Ivory Park police arrested a 31-year-old man recently for allegedly dealing in drugs in Kaalfontein.

According to Ivory Park Police Station spokesperson Captain Bernard Matimulane, the suspected drug dealer was found in possession of 71 Double Star pills [similar to Mandrax] valued at almost

R4 000 and additional money believed to be proceeds of drug sales.

“During Operation O Kae Molao officers received information that the man deals in drugs, and that he had a habit of moving up and down with those drugs to avoid arrest by the police.

“Shortly after observing the address, the officers noticed that people are coming in and out of the shack at regular intervals, leading to the officers believing that something akin to the tip-off, may be taking place at his address.”

“On arrival, they duly introduced themselves, explained the reason they were there and permission to search was granted.

“He was found in possession of pills on him, while others were found in his shack, and an undisclosed amount of money which was also found and confiscated.”

Matimulane concluded, “The suspect is part of the nine suspects arrested during Operation O Kae Molao in the Ivory Park policing precinct [on 15 October].”
