Police launch manhunt after two women killed in Limpopo

POLOKWANE − It is alleged that the women were shot dead by three suspects.

Police in Polokwane have launched a manhunt for four suspects after two women were shot dead on 10 October.

According to SABC, the women were from Midrand and had travelled to the area to view rental properties.

According to Limpopo police spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, a fourth suspect was waiting in a getaway car, a red Hyundai sedan with Gauteng registration numbers.

“Three suspects, two armed with firearms accosted the two women seated in their motor vehicle and started shooting at them and killing them instantly.

“The suspects then ran towards a red Hyundai sedan that was parked in the vicinity and fled from the scene at high speed. The motive for the killing will be determined by the unfolding police investigations.”
