Help prevent glass bottles from entering landfills by finding a glass bank in your area

Midrand – If you are recycling just one glass bottle per week, it means that you recycle 52 glass containers over the course of a year.

We have seen pictures of landfills filled with glass bottles all across the country.

You can look after the environment and stop the spread of glass bottles from entering landfills. You can do this by recycling all your glass bottles and jars, thereby saving the earth and preventing pollution.

In a statement, the Glass Recycling Company (TGRC) said it believes in the infinite potential of glass recycling to make a real and positive contribution to society.

Glass Recycling Company spokesperson CEO Shabeer Jhetam, “Start recycling today and drop off all your glass bottles and jars at your nearest glass bank. TGRC has placed thousands of these glass banks countrywide where members of the community can recycle.”

Jhetam said that if you are recycling just one glass bottle per week, it means that over the course of a year you recycle 52 glass containers. This will save 5200 watts of energy.
