Plans are announced to develop a new park in Blue Hills

BLUE HILLS – The Blue Hills community can expect upgrades to an undeveloped park.

Johannesburg City Parks and Zoo has announced that they will develop an undeveloped park in Blue Hills.

The park is located at the corner of Garden and Le Roux roads. Region A manager Joseph Ndou said City Parks was currently in the planning phase of the development.

He said that signage, refuse bins, benches, and gym and playground equipment would be installed in the park.
He added that there would also be pruning and the removal of excess trees, removal of rubble and levelling of the ground, all expected to be done by the end of August.

Ndou concluded, “This is being done using our horticultural development budget since there’s no capital expenditure budget allocated for this facility for the current financial year.”
