Non-profit sanitises public areas in Midrand

KYALAMI – The Midrand-based Scientology Volunteer Minister has donated 324 500 hours of sanitising work throughout the area.

The Midrand-based non-profit organisation Scientology Volunteer Ministers recently spent time sanitising Kyalami Corner Mall.

The sanitising project forms part of the of a long-running project run by the organisation who have donated 324 500 hours of volunteer work since the lockdown to assist with sanitising of buildings such as police stations, clinic, malls and courts.

Public affairs director for the organisation Sandile Hlayisi said, “Being aware of the threat Covid-19 brings, they have dedicated 15 hours a day, seven days a week as part of their humanitarian work to help mitigate the spread in the country.

“The shopping complex is a busy hub where Kyalami residents do their shopping and sanitising. It became an instant concern to the volunteers when Level 3 lockdown regulations were introduced, and so they wasted no time in offering free daily sanitising in order to protect their Kyalami neighbours.”

Hlayisi said that there is no better feeling that knowing you helped and that you made a real difference in a person’s life, especially in the time of a pandemic.
