Matrics are welcomed back at Midrand High School

MIDRAND – Midrand High School welcomed back their matric class with strict measures to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Midrand High School welcomed back their Grade 12 class on 8 June.

Spokesperson for the school Thomas Stroud said, “Social distancing, regular scanning, sanitising and the wearing of masks has become the ‘new normal’ at the school, so that learners and their parents can feel comfortable that the school year can be completed safely.

“With the matric class not being at school since 12 March, principal Conlon Purchase said that he was confident that adjusted school calendar has made provisions for the Class of 2020 to be fully prepared for the year-end exams. ”

Stroud added that the majority of the Grade 12 class was back and excited to return to school.
