Mfudumalo Foundation thankful for community support

MIDRAND – The Mfudumalo Foundation thanks its generous supporters for their assistance.

The Mfudumalo Foundation would like to thank the Midrand community for coming together to help support their initiative to help communities in need with donations over the Covid-19 lockdown period.

The Mfudumalo Foundation’s head of communication Lufuno Mbedzi said that the foundation is extremely grateful for help received from all role-players and for the donations and assistance in distributing the goods during the initiative.

She said, “We would like to extend our gratitude toward Mall of Africa, Waterfall Corner, Waterfall City, the Balwin Foundation, and the TAG Foundation as they have made this food parcel drive possible.”

She said that foundation’s drive kicked off in Mamelodi in April, donating food parcels to four homes earmarked as beneficiaries. The initiative grew so much that the foundation found themselves donating over a thousand items to the community members of Klipfontein on 24 April. The foundation started with donations to child-headed households and the New Jerusalem Children’s Home.

“We have such a large number of beneficiaries in Klipfontein. We have been doing door-to-door handovers that will continue in the coming few weeks. We have forged a working relationship with community leaders that will prioritise those in need,” she said.

Mbedzi encouraged all those in need to register with their community leaders in the respective sections of Klipfontein, so as to receive future donations during the lockdown period.”We would like to extend a great word of thanks to all leadership and ward committees for helping us to coordinate this initiative. We would also like to thank the departments of health and economic development for always being on board with initiatives like this that seek to benefit the community. Remember to stay at home and remain safe,” she concluded.
