Cops nab two alleged thieves in Beaulieu

MIDRAND – The Midrand police tracked down two suspects involved in a house robbery that took place on 27 January.

Spokesperson Sergeant Matome Tlamela said that the initial incident occurred at a house in Beaulieu at 6.45am when three armed suspects got into the property through the gardener’s quarters. T

The gardener was brushing his teeth when the suspects entered and pointed their firearms at him demanding entry into the main house.

They found the keys to the main house where they approached the owner. The suspects tied up the owner and his sister and searched through the house stealing an undisclosed amount of money and a ring.

Tlamela added that while they were searching the house for other items, they noticed a white Nissan parked in the driveway. They fled the scene with the car.

On 25 February, following a tracing operation initiated by the Midrand police detectives, they received a tip-off regarding the whereabouts of two of the suspects who were swiftly arrested and charged with house robbery.
