Midrand gets a deep clean from the City of Joburg

MIDRAND – The Midrand Pikitup depot joined local councillors and community members to clean the area.


The Kleena Joburg campaign from the City of Johannesburg hit the suburb of Midrand, joined by volunteers, Pikitup Midrand depot and MMC for Community Development Margaret Arnolds who helped plant 1 000 trees on 15 February.

Volunteers got their hands dirty together with Ward 78 councillor Steven Makamo and Ward 110 councillor Lesiba Lamola to clean up the streets of Ebony Park and Ivory Park.

The Pikitup Norwood depot was also joined by the Norwood community forum who were ready to do their part:

Some Twitter users said that the City needs to have more clean-ups and the service needs to improve.
