Three suspects caught while in possession of stolen vehicle in Waterfall

MIDRAND – Three suspects were arrested for the possession of a stolen vehicle linked to an incident in Linden.


Midrand police arrested three suspects for the possession of a stolen vehicle.

The arrest took place on 17 January at the corner of Bekker and Le Roux roads in Waterfall.

The spokesperson for the Midrand Police Station, Sergeant Matome Tlamela said the police were notified of a suspect stripping a white Toyota Etios at about 2am at a private residence.

The police investigated further and confronted the suspect and checked the VIN (vehicle identification number) of the vehicle which matched positively to a case opened in Linden of a suspected stolen vehicle.

Tlamela added that the suspect was arrested and with information gathered during interrogation, the police were led to two accomplices. The three suspects were charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
